In Ancient Greek religion and mythology, the Erotes (/əˈroʊtiːz/; Ancient Greek: ἔρωτες, érōtes) are a collective of winged gods associated with love and sexual intercourse. They are part of Aphrodite's retinue. Erotes is the plural of Eros ("Love, Desire"), who as a singular deity has a more complex mythology.
Meaning is interpersonal interpretation, a shared pathway of consciousness. Existence alone has no meaning: this is the truth we learn from transversing the desert of meaninglessness.
But this truth is not frightening so long as we can find oases of friendship, love, intellectual & erotic, sharing conspiration and the projection of a common landscape.
Such oases are the precondition for sensuous consciousnesses & for shared imagination. - Bifo
